OSAJI
During the Edo period, osaji was the name given to doctors who administered medicine by spoon (saji in Japanese) to treat ailments from the inside out.

Founded on a holistic approach to skincare, Osaji chose Yanaka as the destination for its first shop, settling into a pared-back space alongside Kamenoko Tawashi on Hebi Michi.

The modern yet understated interior sees the brand’s much-loved herbal hand cream joined by a range of organic skincare, from body gel to clay packs and bath salts, all of which are made in Japan.

You’ll also find a seasonal selection of amazake, a traditional drink made from fermented rice, which serves as a nutritious companion as you peruse the shelves.
