198 Queen St. Kingston
Tsuyoshi Hirasawa draws on a wide range of inspiration, from traditional ikebana to photography and street art, to create his distinctive bouquets, wreaths and flower arrangements.
In September 2017, more than a decade after launching a made-to-order shop with no fixed address, the friendly florist opened 198 Queen St. Kingston just across the road from Nezu Shrine.
Conversation flows freely in the self-renovated space the flower shop shares with Bakery Miura, providing a communal backdrop for Hirasawa’s selection of fresh, colourful and seasonal flowers.
Bathed in fluorescent light, the adjacent bench is where you’re likely to catch a glimpse of some works in progress – order-made arrangements shaped with a handful of tools and a healthy dose of ingenuity.
